SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., May 13, 2008 – 365 Main’s Miles Kelly has been selected to speak at the inaugural Green West Conference and Exposition, to be held May 20-22 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Kelly, vice president of marketing and strategy at 365 Main (www.365main.com), will discuss the cost savings that can result from energy-efficient data centers.

Green West 2008 is described by organizer Green Media Enterprises as “a dynamic new trade event that reinvents the traditional concept of an expo and conference.” It is designed to bring together a wide range of buyers and sellers of green products and services, from local, state and federal government planners to CEOs, architects, builders, contractors and engineers, just to name a few of the many professions listed on the conference’s official site (www.greenwestexpo.com). The event will feature exhibits, special events, keynote addresses and networking opportunities. Panel discussions will take place in custom-built theatres right on the show floor.

365 Main’s Kelly will participate in a session called “Trends in Achieving Energy Efficiency” and will focus on data centers. Topics to be addressed by his co-panelists include outsourcing energy management in large commercial buildings (Steve Gossett Jr., of Transcend Equity Development Corp.) and energy-efficient technologies and practices in the office of the future (Mark E. Warren of Trane Corp. and Doug Avery of Southern California Edison).

Last month 365 Main announced the availability of the Salt River Project’s EarthWise Energy Program at its data center in Chandler, Ariz., which enables customers at the data center to sign up for 100-percent renewable energy. In March the company joined ENERGY STAR, a voluntary, market-based partnership to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency. For the past three years 365 Main has participated in PG&E’s voluntary Critical Peak Pricing (CPP) program, which is designed to curtail energy load during the summer to offset the possibility of an energy emergency. The company has also participated in the Savings by Design program, which is backed in part by PG&E and provides assistance and incentives to encourage energy-efficient design and construction of nonresidential buildings. Last year 365 Main joined The Green Grid, a global nonprofit consortium of technology companies and professionals dedicated to advancing energy efficiency in data centers and business computing ecosystems.
