The addition of control information to a Packet Data Unit (PDU) by a
protocol entity to the data obtained from a protocol user.

A program that converts data from one form to another, often with

understood by unauthorized readers. Encryption is the technology

Ethernet
Local Area Network (LAN) protocol invented by Xerox Corporation.
It is a broadcast protocol that uses CSMA/CD method and utilizes

even 1000Mbps. IEEE 802.3 standard describes Ethernet. Word Ethernet
is also sometimes used to describe the implementation that runs at

A part of the company's network that is made accessible for some

EULA / End User License Agreement
EULA is a legal contract between a software application author or

This is an application, stored either on a Web server or with a Web

shipping, and payment information to streamline interations with Web
merchants. It is also called a virtual wallet. Typically,
information in the wallet is encrypted and is persistent from
session to session.
Extranet
A network built on standard Internet technology, typically used by
an organization to share information with customers, suppliers and
other business partners. An extranet is generally an extension of a
company's Intranet, modified to allow access by specified external
users.
